Making the difference during the Football World Cup
For established travel brands, there are times when we have to be particularly creative in order to achieve significant coverage.
Objective
During 2010, Cape Town was covered heavily thanks to its participation in the FIFA World Cup which was hosted by South Africa. Sadler&co needed to generate specific awareness around Cape Grace Hotel despite the media attention to the city and the football.
Activity
During 2010 Cape Grace formed a preferred partnership with the safari camp Londolozi. To highlight the union of two iconic South Africa travel brands, and to promote the quintessential South African experience, Sadler&co arranged a press trip which combined a stay at each for a small, select group of writers.
Result
Significant coverage appeared in The Sunday Times South Africa special (as two separate features), the in-flight publication for BA High Life, and Wedding magazine.
